CEAP's Programs for Kids

CEAP welcomes all of our neighbors to the table; even the youngest ones!

The kids in our community are our future leaders, and it’s important that we invest time and energy into making sure they are loved, nourished and cared for.

CEAP traditionally holds events throughout the year that benefit the kids in our community. We celebrate the summer with cookouts and face painting at Farm Fresh Fest, welcome kids back to school with a backpack and school supplies event, and close out the year with our classic Toys of Joy event. All year round, we provide “birthday bags” to parents that include party decor and favors plus a cake or cupcake.

LearnStrong Back-to-School

In 2020, CEAP provided over 2,600 backpacks filled with school supplies to families in our community through our curbside program! Backpacks are provided and assembled by generous community partners and individual donors.

Toys of Joy Holiday Program

CEAP hosts a special event in December where parents can shop for toys for their kids in CEAP's Community Room. Gifts are provided by generous community partners  and individual donors. 

Birthday Bags

One of the special things CEAP provides for its participant families is a “Birthday Bag” for each child’s birthday. Parents can come pick up a bag filled with candles, cake decorations, party favors for 6-8 kids, themed plates/napkins/etc, colorful party decorations (table cloths, paper streamers, etc), and small toys or crafts—basically anything that would make a child’s birthday party fun! Parents can also pick up one birthday cake or cupcakes. When you call to schedule time to get food at CEAP, let us know if there's a child in your household with a birthday coming up!

Baby and Toddler Care Packages

CEAP is offering a new program for parents of babies and toddlers: our Baby and Toddler Care Packages! These care packages contain diapers/pull-ups, wipes, and other items as available such as onesies, hats, lotion, and body wash for babies. All care packages are put together based on diaper size. We also frequently have formula, bottles, and baby food available. When you schedule time to pick up food from CEAP, let us know what size diapers/pull-ups you need and if you need formula, baby food, etc. Not all items are always available based on supply.
