CEAP Community Challenge

March 22, 2021 Update:

The CEAP community has really shown up for our neighbors by utilizing every dollar of our $50,000 match from an anonymous donor. We can't thank you enough for showing that you care by donating to CEAP this March!

We are excited to share that CEAP has an additional $20,000 matching fund created by several of our community partners who have been pillars in our community, especially throughout the pandemic. These partners have stepped up and created the CEAP Community Challenge Fund to ensure that every neighbor is safe, loved, and nourished. These partners have been thrilled by the generosity of our neighbors this March and wanted to double down on their investment in our community by providing this fund. This means that there's still time for you to grow your impact at CEAP by giving while donations are more than doubled.

From March 1st through April 11th, you have the opportunity to expand your impact at CEAP and help us continue to provide nourishment and community connection. For every pound of food or dollar donated to CEAP during this campaign, Minnesota FoodShare will provide a proportional match.  Additionally, one dedicated anonymous donor is challenging our committed community to support our neighbors and has pledged $50,000 in matching funds. This is a powerful way to more than double your donation by donating to CEAP during the month of March.

This year, there are a few ways that you can show your support for your neighbors. Check out our Action Kit for more information and resources like communications templates.

1) Host a food drive! We recommend turning your food drive into a competition between friends, families, coworkers, and other teams. Download our Action Kit for additional tips and info on which food items are needed the most.

2) Virtual food drive via GiveMN - raise money online to help CEAP purchase food for our neighbors!

3) Volunteer at CEAP to help us organize and distribute food donations, and bring your friends, families, and coworkers with you! We need groups of 4-8 volunteers on the following Fridays: March 12th, 19th, 26th and April 2nd from 9-11am, 11am-1pm, 1-3pm.
