CEAP mobilizes resources, shares abundance and nourishes neighbors to create and celebrate a healthier, stronger and connected community. In normal times, this is a big task– during a pandemic, it becomes even more critical.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led CEAP to pivot our strategy and find new, safe ways to do what we do best: provide assistance to our neighbors in an emergency.
- We’re now delivering 1,700 frozen meals to our senior neighbors every two weeks through our Meals on Wheels program, and making daily phone calls to each senior to check on them and talk with them.
- We’re providing pre-packed “CEAP Essentials” groceries to every neighbor who needs access to food, and we’re doing it in a safe, no-contact way that prioritizes the health and safety of our employees, volunteers, and participants.
