Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign

Join CEAP throughout March as we raise foods and funds during Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign, where a portion of every dollar and pound is matched by the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches. It's the best time to give.

The richest people in the world are not millionaires, they are volunteers. Learn more about volunteering at CEAP.

Hunger is a problem

Welcome to CEAP’s new website.

Growing a Stronger Community

CEAP, Community Emergency Assistance Programs, was founded in 1970 as a food shelf responding to the growing need for human services in Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Center. CEAP now serves Northwest Hennepin and Anoka County.

Today, CEAP’s Family Services department includes referrals so families can connect with partner agencies and services that may be able to help.

In 1971, CEAP’s food shelf distributed 20,000 pounds of food to local families in need. By 2014, that number reached more than 1,300,000 pounds! Through our successful Family Service department, we help thousands of men, women, and children get back on their feet every year. Our food and financial assistance gives families hope. Our additional programs give them independence.
