2008 Volunteer Recognition Luncheon

In 2007 CEAP volunteers donated 24,172 hours of service to people in need in our communities. In cash value that translates to more than $453,708—the equivalent of nearly twelve full time employees.

Each year, CEAP honors their volunteers with a luncheon, entertainment, and an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding volunteers. This year's honors included the Carol Dale Outstanding Volunteer awards, and Community Partner awards.

There is really no way to adequately say "thank you" to the many individuals and groups who give of themselves by volunteering for CEAP. The volunteers bring a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, talent and flexibility with them and share these gifts with staff and clients. CEAP is pleased to be able to honor all of the volunteers.

CEAP's volunteers are involved in almost every facet of CEAP's services. Currently, volunteers work in CEAP's administrative department, food shelves, clothing closets, Meals on Wheels, Senior Chore Services, loan committees, bread pickup, quilting group, Board of Directors, Faith Advisory Board, and all of CEAP's special events including the Back-To-School and Holiday Programs.

This year's volunteer recognition luncheon was held at the Church of St. Gerard. A wonderful lunch, prepared by Chef Sam's Catering (763) 391-0670, was enjoyed by all. The CEAP staff provided entertainment by putting on a fashion show featuring clothing from the clothing closet.

A SPECIAL THANKS... to Tammy Quady, Brooklyn Park Volunteer Coordinator, and Kathy Cotter, Blaine Volunteer Coordinator, for their hard work to insure a successful event.

THANKS ALSO... to all others who helped in any way with the luncheon and to those who donated door prizes for the event.

AND THANKS AGAIN... to all the Volunteers for serving your community through CEAP!
