Our 2011 Back to School Distribution has ended
CEAP registered nearly 2,900 local children for backpacks and supplies this year! From Blaine to Brooklyn Park, children in grades K-8 will now have the tools they need to succeed. Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and spread the word about this year's event. We look forward to fulfilling this community need again next year!
Our Annual Back to School Program:
Every year CEAP hosts a Back to School program, matching children in need in Anoka County, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, and East Chmaplin with grade appropriate school supplies to help them in the coming year. In 2010, CEAP registered over 2,400 children for the program! To make this year's event an even greater success, we need your help
Host A Supply Drive:Get your family, friends, and co-workers involved in a school supply drive. Get creative, make it fun, make it themed, make it a competition! Collect for a specific grade, or collet one type of item. See our supply list for our most needed items. |
Adopt A Child:If you'd like to shop for a specific child, call our Family Services Director at 763-450-3671 to be matched with a girl or boy in your requested grade. |
Give A Monetary Donation:Not the shopping type? Make a donation to the Back to School Program and we'll do the shopping for you. |
Volunteer:Spend a few hours sorting supplies, filling backpacks, or distributing them to families.Call 763-450-3679 for more information. |
But most of all spread the word! Whether you donate or not, spread the word to others about this program. You never know who could need a helping hand this school year.
